Minimal Brass Hoops
Minimal light weight hoops perfect for everyday wear. Made from recycled brass by Clare Kilgour. Pins and scrolls are made from sterling silver. Two sizes available, medium or large.
This is a beautiful and sustainable alternative to a hairband. The medium works well for thick hair. The large is perfect if you have really thick long locks.
Dimensions:
Medium: 30 mm Diameter across
Large: 50 mm Diameter across
Care options: For the most efficient and effective way use fine wire wool, that you can pick up from most hardware shops as well as a standard silver polishing cloth.
Lemon and Salt
Add a few drops of lemon juice and a small amount of salt onto a cloth and rub all over your item. Rinse your item off under the tap and buff dry with a clean cloth.
Tomato ketchup
Rub a small amount of ketchup all over your brass piece with a cloth and wipe off the residue with a damp cloth, rinse under the tap and buff dry with a clean cloth.
When your items are not being worn, keep in a cool dry place away from moisture. Ensure that if they do get wet that they are dried in good time to avoid tarnishing and black spots.
About the maker: Clare Kilgour works from her studio in Normandy, France. Clare uses recycled silver and brass to make her beautiful pieces.
"I believe that reusing and recycling waste items such as these to make bespoke hand crafted jewellery, can in time help prevent our world's depleting natural resources. By reusing these materials that already exist and would otherwise be discarded, I support my belief of making sustainable affordable design" Clare Kilgour
