Care options Silver: Silver can be forgiving when it comes to tarnishing but over time if not worn and not kept in a dry place away from moisture Silver can also start to tarnish. You can use a silver polishing cloth to bring back the shine.
Care options Brass: For the most efficient and effective way use fine wire wool, that you can pick up from most hardware shops as well as a standard silver polishing cloth.
Lemon and Salt
Add a few drops of lemon juice and a small amount of salt onto a cloth and rub all over your item. Rinse your item off under the tap and buff dry with a clean cloth.
Rub a small amount of ketchup all over your brass piece with a cloth and wipe off the residue with a damp cloth, rinse under the tap and buff dry with a clean cloth.
When your items are not being worn, keep in a cool dry place away from moisture. Ensure that if they do get wet that they are dried in good time to avoid tarnishing and black spots.

"I believe that reusing and recycling waste items such as these to make bespoke hand crafted jewellery, can in time help prevent our world's depleting natural resources. By reusing these materials that already exist and would otherwise be discarded, I support my belief of making sustainable affordable design" Clare Kilgour
